The island of San Giacomo will become a new venue of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, joining their spaces in Guarene and Turin. In the next two years, it will be sensitively developed as a space to produce artistic projects, and to host research and discussions on art, music, cinema, theatre and contemporary culture.
On 21 April 2022, on the occasion of the opening of the 59th Esposizione Internazionale d’arte – Biennale di Venezia, the performance ‘In the tired watering’ by Jota Mombaça, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, will confront the dynamic qualities of water, the anxieties linked to the climate and environmental crisis, and the awareness of the imminence of a possible planetary catastrophe.
