AltroLato

ART IN THE PUBLIC SPACE

A project hypothesis, born in an academy classroom where there was a talk about legislation on cultural heritage, reflecting in particular on contemporary artistic experiences as factors of enhancement and urban redevelopment. A title is formulated, Altrolato, which identifies not only the place of the event, but also the idea of what it means to work around the most innovative, and perhaps less known, most elusive areas of a current artistic production, which it has to do not so much with the traditionally understood work, as with the installation, with the site-specific intervention, with the concept of temporariness (and not permanence). An active relationship with the public is put at the center of the various proposals, called not only to observe, read, see, but to interact. In this way, within a few days, a set of projects are collected, all presented by students, who then took care of refining them towards their actual feasibility, practicing to follow the entire development of an artistic hypothesis, from conception to realization.
